F-A-Q's

Here are some detailed - and not so detailed - questions that get asked of this blog, me, and how things work in the world.

Q What is a blog?
A You're reading it.

Q Who the hell are you?
A A blogger. One who blogs.

Q What are "Labels"
A An easy way to search for other posts in the site with the same subject matter. Just click on the label and you'll see all the posts related to that label.

Q How do I leave a comment?
A Click the little comment link at the bottom of each post. You have a few options. Leave a post anonymously (which I screen more carefully), leave a post under a name (which gets moderate scrutiny), and leave a post as a blogger yourself (in which case I'll check out your blog to see if I want to link to it). All comments are moderated so people don't just post porn links and stuff like that.

Q What is the email icon about?
A In case you want to forward a choice post to a friend, just click the little icon and follow the instructions. I don't collect email addresses this way and neither does Google, the owner of Blogger.com

Q What is FeedBlitz? (see next question)
A A way to subscribe to the blog at the top of the site. Simply enter your email address and any new changes to the site will be emailed to you once per day. Most of the time, they're just advisories to you that the blog has changed. You'll still have to visit the site to see the new stuff. You can unsubscribe at any time - but I'll come over to your house and beat you silly.

Q What happened to FeedBlitz?
A I didn't like the way their service worked, so I started my own newsletter - "GregSays" and anyone can sign up to receive a weekly mailing of material I don't have room or time to publish to the website. It's free exclusive content...but limited to only 100 subscribers.

Q What do you write about mostly?
A Mostly politics, but always with a keen eye on the best way to use my skills in humor, irony, and sarcasm. Always to make a point. Short answer: Anything I want to write about that I find interesting.

Q You're a former radio host. Why?
A They sacked me and I didn't feel like looking for another radio job and moving again.

Q Who is they?
A The Borg. Someday, I'll finish my book and you can read all about it.

Q Will you write a book?
A Already working on it.

Q Where do you find the material you write about?
A I search the internet...so you don't have to. Other than that, I write what I think.

Q Can I ask a question?
A Sure.
