A LETTER TO THE CANDIDATES

In the continuing controversy over the WMD charges, CIA information, and an apparent lack of will on behalf of liberal Democrats like John Kerry, Howard Dean, John Edwards and pretty much every other "questioner" of our policy against terrorism - I've developed a simple test for Presidential worthiness. Here goes:

Dear Mr. President,

As your CIA director, it’s my duty to inform you of the information we have gathered on a confirmed member of Al Quida. With a high degree of probability, we have determined the following:

We believe Terrorists have constructed a so-called “dirty nuke” with a 70-percent degree of probability they have the device in hand.

We also believe this device has made it’s way into the United States in a major city – perhaps Los Angeles, Chicago, or Washington DC. We don’t believe with high confidence that New York is a suspected target.

If used, we believe an estimated 2-thousand Americans will lose their lives in the immediate blast radius, and perhaps as many as 10-thousand may lose their lives in the radioactive fallout.

There is a 75-percent degree of probability this device will be used within the next 5-hours.

We have confirmed, with 90-percent probability, that the members of Al Quida are currently housed in a location within Iran. We have satellite information that shows a rough outline of their training area. We have stationed quick strike response teams to react at your discretion with overwhelming force.

What would you like us to do?

Act pre-emptively? Or wait until the bomb goes off?

I wonder why it is so many of the liberals are "pre-emptive" with respect to the policy of abortion on demand for the sake of convenience...while at the same time they're willing to risk American lives for the sake of being absolutely sure we're doing the right thing.

Sleep well tonight...
