How did anyone NOT notice this?
A little tiny portion near the end of a very short story on KIMT (Note to Mediacom subscribers: It's a CBS affiliate...remember them?) in Mason City should have made bigger news, don't you think?

Also at the meeting, the council voted six to nothing to encourage the state of Iowa to repeal the 2,000 foot rule regarding where sex offenders can live.As far as I'm aware, it's the first city to want the 2,000 foot rule gone. Am I wrong?
The sex offender review committee recommended they do so, saying the law is ineffective.
