Drunk Democrats
I really got a kick out of Mike Deupree's column the other day in the Cedar Rapids Gazette:
Dems to strike religious school exemption in bullying bill
Easy Democrat answer: So, don't teach it.

...the Democrats are really making up for lost time, aren't they? In charge of state governmnet for the first time in many years, they've already moved to raise taxes, the minimum wage, teacher pay and Cain when it comes to smoking. Not to mention getting started on mandatory union membership and experimentation on human embryos. The doors are opened for higher taxes, higher prices, higher teenage unemployment...quite a first month. I can't imagine why the party was out of power for so long...His sarcasm is well-earned. Drunk with power, Democrats continue their quest in pissing everyone off who don't normally vote for them...all while they attempt to cater and hold together a loose and tiny coalition of special interest groups.
Dems to strike religious school exemption in bullying bill
DES MOINES --- Top legislative Democrats have agreed to strike a provision from an anti-bullying proposal that had been added to ease the concerns of nonpublic schools. Can you blame them? Easily offended martyrdom-seeking gay activists would love the chance to enlist their friends at the ACLU over something like that. I mean, if we have people offended by the use of the word "articulate" when describing a black person...can you imagine how easy it would be to be offended by the Bible?
The anti-bullying bill would require local school boards to adopt policies that restrict harassment of all students, including a specific mention of gay and lesbian students.
Administrators at nonpublic schools have raised concerns that the bill could open them up to lawsuits if they teach that homosexuality is a sin.
Easy Democrat answer: So, don't teach it.
