Iowa Pride

We love our own millionaires...we just think the ones that aren't ours should pay their fair share, right?

Iowa Man on Forbes Billionaire List
AP- An Iowa businessman who made a fortune selling farm chemicals is on the Forbes magazine list of the world's richest people.

Dennis Albaugh, 57, who grew up in Ankeny, is ranked 799th on the list, with a worth estimated by Forbes at $1.2 billion.

Albaugh, who has a home in Florida and Ankeny, owns Albaugh Incorporated, which he founded in 1979.

The company, with its corporate headquarters in Ankeny, specializes in selling crop protection products after their original patents expire.
This millionaire billionaire is protected from the usual charges of earning too much, not paying their fair share of taxes, tax cuts for the rich, and other class warfare tactics in a number of ways...

He's in agriculture. We won't raise the registration fees for pickups because 10-percent of them are used on farms. You think we're going to raise taxes on this guy? No way.

He still lives in Iowa. Although he has a home in Florida, it's not like he spends most of his time in some swanky estate in the Bahamas or anything.

Any kind of luxury tax on this guy could send his headquarters elsewhere.

As tempting as it might be, liberal Democrats should lay off this guy. Iowans are probably proud of him. I know I am.
